General Peer Review Policy

*All the journals and proceedings published under CSTEM press follow the following general guidelines. But there can be journal-specific guidelines to increase the credibility of a given research field.

CSTEM Press Journals are committed to maintaining the highest standards of scientific research. As part of this commitment, we use a peer review process to assess the quality of all submitted manuscripts before they are published.

The peer review process

The peer review process for the CSTEM Press Journals typically follows these steps:

  • The manuscript is submitted to the journal.
  • The editor-in-chief or another senior editor initially evaluates the manuscript.
  • If the manuscript is considered of sufficient quality, it is sent to two or more expert reviewers for review.
  • The reviewers provide their comments and recommendations to the editor-in-chief.
  • The editor-in-chief makes a decision based on the reviewers' comments and recommendations.

The type of peer review

CSTEM Press Journals use a double-blind review, which means that the reviewers do not know the authors' identity, and the authors do not know the identity of the reviewers. This helps to ensure that the review process is fair and objective.

The criteria for peer review

The reviewers will assess the manuscript based on the following criteria:

  • Originality and significance of the research
  • Soundness of the methodology
  • Clarity and conciseness of the writing
  • Appropriateness for the journal

The role of the reviewers

The reviewers play an important role in the peer review process. They are responsible for providing an objective and constructive assessment of the manuscript. Their comments and recommendations will help the editor-in-chief make a decision about whether to publish the manuscript.

The responsibilities of the authors

The authors have the following responsibilities during the peer review process:

  • Provide the reviewers with all relevant information about the manuscript, including the data, methods, and references.
  • Respond to the reviewers' comments in a timely and constructive manner.
  • Revise the manuscript as necessary to address the reviewers' concerns.

The timeline for peer review

The peer review process for the CSTEM Press Journals typically takes 4-6 weeks. However, the exact time frame may vary depending on the number of reviewers available and the complexity of the research.

The final decision

The editor-in-chief makes the final decision about whether to publish a manuscript. The editor-in-chief will consider the reviewers' comments and recommendations, as well as the authors' responses when making this decision.

The appeal process.

If the authors are unsatisfied with the editor-in-chief's decision, they may appeal it. The appeal will be reviewed by a panel of editors who will make the final decision.

We are committed to providing a fair and objective peer review process. We appreciate the time and effort of our reviewers, and we thank the authors for their cooperation.
